eXtrapola was founded in 1998, and has since become the Italian market leader in internet news monitoring. Today, eXtrapola covers more online sources than any other company in Italy. Our news coverage is also one of the broadest in Europe.
Our strong leadership has been strengthened by two operations that were finalised in January 2007, to set our company further ahead of competitors and enable us to look internationally for market expansion and partnerships:
1. The acquisition of Milan-based PRESSToday, a company that monitors online press news/clippings of major national and international newspapers, thus ideally integrating eXtrapola's product range.
2. An OEM agreement with Moreover Technologies Ltd. of the VeriSign group, that gives eXtrapola an international licence to utilise an additional 25.000 sources (that cover 125 countries in 26 languages) to integrate and augment eXtrapola's own capacity.
eXtrapola's self-sufficient technology processes up to 300,000 news items a day from over 16,000 online resources: together with Moreover's sources, our company will cover soon over 30.000 sources and several hundreds of thousand of news every day. eXtrapola's technology is operated by our team of specialists, or "net clippers", and journalists to ensure client satisfaction.
eXtrapola monitors the online versions of major publications, news wire agencies and web sites pertaining to various different sectors, public institutions, newsgroups, blogs and forums.
eXtrapola's services are used by leading companies and public institutions, 90% of which have renewed their agreement with us. Our success inspires us to continually study and invest in new technology and qualified experts.
